The South China University of Technology (SCUT) is a leading educational institution in China. It is a public research-intensive university directly governed by the Chinese Ministry of Education. Located in the city of Guangzhou, a thriving metropolis in South China, the university today covers a total area of 391 hectares, consisting of three campuses: the Wushan Campus, the University Town Campus, and the Guangzhou International Campus.

BA Program

1. Those who have not graduated from high school, please submit a pre-graduation certificate, or a testimonial which shows your expected graduation time.


2. High school transcripts with good record


3. English language certificate (only for non-English speaking countries): TOEFL IBT 68 or

above/IELTS 5.5 or above/Other equivalent English language qualifications.


Note: Applicants who seek exemption from submitting one of the above English Language competency certificates must show that they are


- a citizen or permanent resident of an English speaking country (including countries with

English as the official language, common language or the Commonwealth member countries);

and/or have


- obtained their highest level of formal education from an institution where English is the

medium of instruction and assessment and provide documented evidence of this when submitting their high school or college qualification certificate.


MA Program

1. Bachelor’s degree holder with the ability to pursue research in the candidate’s proposed field of advanced study.


2. Applicants from non-English speaking countries are required to submit an TOEFL IBT

80/CBT 210/PBT 550 or above; IELTS 6.0 or above.


3. Two pieces of recommendation letters from professors or assistant professors.


4. One piece of study plan.
